A nutri-fun month
This nutrimonth has been the most fun month yet. I had lots of new experiences, one including getting to show off my talent.
In this month, some of my classmates and I were picked to join the nutri-jingle contest, in city, regional and national. Though it was very hard, because we had to create our own steps, make our own song and practice them all day, it was fun! We also had to film and record them, the most hassling part of it all was changing in between different filming sessions. When we were recording, I found it quite difficult since we had to all be in harmony when singing even though we had all had a different pitch. It also enjoyable as we made videos together, danced, and did some activities.
After all the filming and when we finally uploaded the video, we thought it was all over. After a few days however, we were surprised to find out that we had to do a live performance in the city based contest, this meant having to dance our nutri-jingle without our recording. We practiced tirelessly but with the short amount of time we had, some of us didn't get to master it that much.
One afternoon, while we were buying costumes for the nutri-jingle contest, One of the coaches told us that we had to go back to school. We didn't know why but we had to quickly buy and drive back to school. They told us to go to the gym and it turned out that we had to do an intermission for almost the whole school. We took the chance to use it as practice dancing under the preasure of many people's gazes.
On the day of the contest, we hopped on the van of our school and went to the vigan city convention center. We fought against two representatives from two schools in vigan which was from UNP and Divine Word College of Vigan. After the competition, we came out on top! Our hard work paid off and we were declared the champion of the city based nutri-jingle competition. Before they announced it though, the judges decided to hold a surprise intermission competition. The winner would win ₱1k, I was thinking of singing already but I was hesitant until my classmates pushed me to do it. I sang "my heart will go on" and won first price, along with the ₱1k.
After all the nutri-jingle activities and competitions, I got a chance to participate in selling of snacks during recess time. Our class made different types of snacks, all nutritional as per the instruction of our teachers. Again, it was a gruellingly tiring but enjoyable experience.
To sum it all up, for me, the nutrimonth this year was by far the best month of my highschool life yet. It was full of tiring but exciting experiences which makes me want to take every chance so I can take part in every activity of highschool. It also make me wonder, what else does junior high school have in store for me?
